Gifted 101: Beyond the Matrix

From classroom intervention to special education, this presentation will provide an overview of how the schools in our district meet the needs of high-achieving, advanced, and Gifted learners. You will learn about Tennessee state criteria for Intellectually Gifted eligibility and about the evaluation process. Also, information will be shared about advocating for your Gifted learner and the different channels of communication during the testing and identification process.

Our presenter is Sarah Simonovich, the WCS district Gifted Specialist. Sarah has been working in education for 19 years, as both a secondary English general educator, a Gifted educator, and a Gifted Specialist.
