COPING with Heightened Intensities

  • Williamson County Schools Central Office 1320 West Main Street Franklin, TN, 37064 United States (map)

Meet at the WCS Central Office at 1320 West Main Street in Franklin in the First Floor Training Room (look for WillCoGS signs).

Please join us for this workshop presented by Mill Creek Elementary School Counselor, Deb Finch.

A distinguishing factor of a child who is identified as a gifted learner is the way in which he or she experiences the world. When a child is operating at a heightened level of intensity, parents have an opportunity to infuse intentional strategies and unique understanding into growth potential. This workshop will balance idea sharing and facilitation of conversation about supporting gifted learners in their emotional development.

Our presenter, Deb Finch has educated and counseled students from kindergarten through graduate school throughout her professional career. Whether mentoring at Vanderbilt and Belmont Universities or serving as an elementary school counselor at Mill Creek Elementary School, the foundation of her teaching is planting seeds of healthy growth and empowerment. Her special interests include leading parent support groups, facilitating talent development workshops for both youth and adults, and playing vintage base ball.
